Non Destructive test

MAXIMUM WORKING PRESSURES
The maximum working pressures al temperature upto 650° C are calculated using the following formula:

P= 20Ft/D-T Where P= maximum working pressure (bar) F=design stress (n/mm2)
T=minimum wall thickness (mm) D=maximum outside diameter (mm)

Tubes installed underground, laid under floors or in other inaccessible places must be able to withstand twice the maximum working pressure. The values of F used in above formula depend upon the condition of the tube and are given below :

ARJE Copper produces specially cleaned and degreased copper tube suitable for use in medical and industrial gas applications. These tubes are produced in accordance with ASTM B 819 and are rigorously tested to make sure they are suitable for the exacting requirements of critical medical and gas application industry. These copper tubes generally supplied in as drawn temper and are fitted with plastic caps after cleaning to maintain the allowable residue limit of 0.0035 g/sq. ft of interior tube surface area. Special care and handling is given to these tubes to prevent contamination of the system.

Copper tubes are specified in the bs 2871 / en 1057 in three wall thicknesses designated under table x, y & z.

Our industrial copper tubes and copper pipes can be widely utilized in the design of seawater systems for their excellent resistance to corrosion and bio fouling and many other excellent properties. Copper corrodes at negligible rates in unpolluted air, water, and deaerated nonoxidizing acids. Copper alloy artifacts have been found in nearly pristine condition after having been buried in the earth for thousands of years, and copper roofing in rural atmospheres has been found to corrode at rates of less than 0.4 mm in 200 years.

Copper alloys resist many saline solutions, alkaline solutions, and organic chemicals. However, copper is susceptible to more rapid attack in oxidizing acids, oxidizing heavy-metal salts, sulfur, ammonia (NH3), and some sulfur and NH3 compounds.

Copper is widely used in applications like freshwater and seawater supply lines, heat exchangers, condensers, shafting, valve stems, and marine hardware - in which resistance to seawater, hydrated salt deposits, and biofouling from marine organisms is important.

Copper Tube Coils

With a reputation of product excellence and reliability, arje metal industries offers its customers a wide range of high quality, soft annealed, single/double layer, plain and plastic coated copper coils for diverse applications. These tubes are manufactured with an outside diameter tolerance of +0.0/-0.08mm (0.003"), annealed at approximately 600°C, giving a hardness range of 45/60 HV5. Our smooth bore copper tubes are characterized by their bright, clean and dry internal and external surfaces. Superior dimensional control offers a trouble free performance and cost saving. The tube ends are capped at both ends to maintain the standard of cleanliness.

Arje Metals manufactures high quality plastic coated copper coils, copper alloy coils designed for protection against aggressive environment and colour coded to aid identification.
